HERMES & GIEBELER advised on ten transactions in 2017

2017 was a special year for HERMES & GIEBELER Rechtsanwälte for various reasons. In October, Dr. Anja Breitfeld and Dr. Werner Mielke joined the firm. HERMES & GIEBELER had a close cooperation with these two very experienced senior lawyers already in the past. Dr. Breitfeld is practicing in all areas of individual and collective employment law. Prior to joining HERMES & GIEBELER, she was head of the German employment law practice of Allen & Overy (2000 through 2010) and partner of Salger Rechtsanwälte (2010 through 2016). The practice of Dr. Mielke includes M&A, corporate and antitrust law. In addition, he is doing litigation in particular relating to private antitrust damage claims. Prior to joining HERMES & GIEBELER, Dr. Mielke was partner of Görg Rechtsanwälte and Andersen Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH.

Also in October, HERMES & GIEBELER moved into new offices located in the city center of Frankfurt.

For the M&A practice of HERMES & GIEBELER, 2017 has been a very successful year. Six transactions were closed, including the sale of ITK Engineering AG which offers complex software solutions in particular for the automotive industry, to Robert Bosch GmbH, the sale of ACTech Holding GmbH which develops 3D printing technology, to the Belgian Materialise group, and the acquisition of the business of the insolvent Erich Rohde GmbH, a shoe manufacturer, by the Italian Condor Trade srl.. Four other transactions on which HERMES & GIEBELER has advised are either still ongoing or were not concluded.
